Travel

"The most dangerous worldviews are the worldviews of those who have never viewed the world"

 — Alexander von Humboldt

Travel is important to me. But I also think it's important to not just travel, but to record one's travels and make the whole endeavor into something bigger. At a basic level that could be just collecting new countries visited. Or it could be diary keeping, blogging, or documenting the travels in other ways. Psychologically, when one considers  travel  in this way, the journeys become more than mere sensation seeking, and allow one to develop through the experiences. This interactive map documents my travels so far.

I like the map, because, the positive take is that there is still so much more to explore and experience. It helps me to see my past, and also imagine my future.

And here are some of my favorite travel photos. Hover over images for a brief description of each.
